The reason for this meeting in restaurant Folliez in Mechelen was the visit of a (hopefully) future American Master of Wine. Reason enough to taste a nice series of older wines. Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Rully Cailloux 2006 – France, Burgundy, Côte Chalonnaise, Rully (12/12/2008) Just superb for a Rully. Understated nose and what refinement on the palate. Subtle oak, pure fruit, excellent balance and great finish. I tasted this from barrel and I was impressed. Now even more. (94 ptn.)
