2007 Weingut Keller Westhofener Kirchspiel Riesling Großes Gewächs – Germany, Rheinhessen (10/18/2008) Slate, lychee and minerals on the restrained nose. Ripe yellow fruit (lychee, melon), lemon peel, stones, refreshing citruslike acidity and a hint of smoke on the still primary palate. Delicious in its youth, but still very primary and fruit-driven.
