2009 Albert Mann Riesling Schlossberg – France, Alsace, Kientzheim, Alsace Grand Cru AOC (4/21/2011)

Slate, lychee, melon, lemon zest, and honey on the expressive nose. Very intense palate, that softens a bit on the second day. Lots of material, good balance, but riper than usual. Reminds me of the 2002, but with more overall balance, glycerol, minerality and material. You can drink it now on its youth, but it will probably drink even better in 7 to 10 years time.  (92+ points)
