2006 Domaine Charvin Châteauneuf-du-Pape – France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape (4/10/2009)
Ripe strawberries, black cherries, kirsch, exotic spices in the slightly lactic, elegant and engaging nose. Spicy and fruity on palate, with good persistence and depth; accessible in its youthful exuberance (after decanting), but this will surely close down in the near future. A great Charvin CDP in the making. Good qpr. (93 pts.)
