Marcel Deiss Langenberg St. Hippolyte 2004

2004 Marcel Deiss Langenberg St. Hippolyte – France, Alsace, St. Hippolyte, Alsace AOC (5/8/2007)
Lychee, pear and citrus fruit on the subdued nose. Some spritz on the palate, which is fairly sweet, but luckily kept fresh by enough citrus-like acidity. Good mouthfeel, but at the moment (?) fairly simple, although very enjoyable in an aperitif-kind of way. Difficult to tell where this is heading. Can certainly be enjoyed now, but I do not know if there’s much upside potential here. (89 pts.)
