Jammy fruit, sweet spices, kirsch and some liquorice on the expressive nose. On the palate lots of fruit, glycerine and spices with a nice acidity and dollops of kirsch, sweets and liquorice. A pleasure to drink, but this needs to be decanted at this stage. In a rather international style, but with enough character to keep it interesting. Might merit a slightly higher score with some bottle ageing. (91 pts.)
In de neus confituur en zwart fruit, met mooie ondertonen van zoete specerijen, kirsch en een beetje drop. In de mond massa’s fruit, glycerine en specerijen met een mooi zuurtje en lekkere toetsen van kirsch, snoepgoed en drop. Een wijn in een meer internationale stijl, maar met genoeg karakter om hem interessant te houden. Kan misschien nog een puntje meer verdienen met wat flesrust.
