2009 Cave de Roquebrun Saint-Chinian Seigneur d’Aupenac – France, Languedoc Roussillon, Languedoc, Saint-Chinian (5/25/2012)
Fresh toast, aromatic spices, fresh straw and ripe yellow fruit on the very enjoyable “dry” nose. On the palate this wine is also quite dry, but has great balance and persistence. Impressions of ripe fruit, marmalade, exotic spices, minerals and mere hints of alcohol and oak. Lingering aftertaste. I like this a-lot. Kept itself together during the course of four days (with overnight stays in the fridge). Need to visit this cooperative when I’m next in the area. They’re doing something right there. Bravo.
