2007 M. Chapoutier Coteaux du Tricastin

2007 M. Chapoutier Coteaux du Tricastin – France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Coteaux du Tricastin (2/11/2010)
Red and black berries, aromatic spices and a whiff of alcohol on the fruit dominated nose. Lots of fruit on the palate, initially simple and sweet, but after some breathing additional hints of black chocolate and sweet spices. Refreshing acidity. Had not declined when tasted on the third day (with a stay in the fridge in between). Not overly complex, but clean and tasty, also a bio wine. Very good qpr at about 4,5 euros! (88 pts.)
