Bordeaux is guest region for Megavino 2009

Logo Megavino 2009The eleventh edition of the Megavino wine fair in Brussels is dedicated to the wines from Bordeaux. The fair takes place in Brussels Expo from 16 to 19 October 2009. In a stand of 150m2, the Comité Interprofessionnel du Vin de Bordeaux (CIVB) proposes a selection of 100 different wines from Bordeaux, each between 4 and 15 euros, which were selected by a panel of Belgian wine professionals. Visitors can taste the wines. There are also several pavilions with both representatives of Bordeaux vintners and Belgian dealers specializing in Bordeaux wines. The Bordeaux-pavilion is completed with pavilions dedicated to the other major French regions. A third of the total exhibition space of 11.000m2 is dedicated to French wines. It is the first time that Megavino dedicates so much space to the wines from France. Yet there is also a broad selection from other wine regions. 24 different wine countries are present at the fair. This is a new record. Also new is a spirits pavilion with the better rums, whiskeys and vodkas. Last year 270 exhibitors and 23,000 visitors attended the fair, another new record.
