2007 Van Volxem Riesling Alte Reben “Fuder Nr.4” – Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer (9/4/2008)
Beautiful, complex nose of spicy honey, ripe white and yellow fruit, slate and fat cream. Creamy on the balanced, expansive palate, with delicious ripe fruit (pear, lychee, melon), refreshing acidity, slate and minerals, honey and a hint of smoke. Kept getting better in the course of three days. A pleasure to drink. My score is probably on the conservative side. This bottling is exclusive to Pinard de Picard. AP nr. 3567212 26 08. Good qpr!
