2005 La Chablisienne Chablis Grand Cru Grenouilles Château Grenouilles – France, Burgundy, Chablis, Chablis Grand Cru (3/17/2008)
The nose is holding back, but promising and classy. Subtle aromas of grass, green apples, spice, steel and toast. The palate is much more giving, with ripe green and yellow fruit, good acidity, citrus fruit and peel, stones and good overall balance. The fruit and fat coats the acidity nicely. Fairly ripe for a Chablis, but this seems to be the norm in this vintage. Retasted on 10/10/2008 with consistent notes. (93 pts.)
