Château Lalande-Borie 2005

2005 Château Lalande-Borie – France, Bordeaux, Médoc, St. Julien (5/18/2008)
(right after opening) Red berries, fruit coulis on the somewhat lactic but enjoyable nose. Red fruit, black coffee, refreshing acidity and a fair amount of spicy tannins on the palate. The fruit remains on the background, the structure dominates. (24 hrs later, mostly kept in the fridge): The fruit is a bit more dominating, but the lactic element is also more prominent. Elegant wine in a more classical style. (89 pts.)
