2006 Celler del Roure Valencia Les Alcusses – Spain, Valencia (8/30/2009) Spicy red fruit, refreshing cherry-like acidity, some cherry liqueur; good balance, 14% alcohol but doesn’t show it. Not very complex, but a good qpr and better with some air. No signs of oxidation even on the third day after opening the bottle. (88 pts.)

Bodega Mustiguillo is gevestigd in El Terrerazo in Utiel in de Spaanse provincie Valencia. De wijngaarden liggen achthonderd meter hoog op arme, droge zandgronden met een kalkachtige bovenlaag. Bodega Mustiguillo Cuincha Corral Utiel-Requena 2001. Priorat-lookalike uit de buurt van Valencia, maar met de nodige finesse. Inktzwarte wijn met in de aangename neus zwart geconfijt fruit, chocolade, kruidig hout.
