Revue du Vin de France launches Chinese edition

La Revue du Vin de France RVFLa Revue du Vin de France (RVF), the famous French magazine about wine, launches an edition for the Chinese market, according to the Marie Claire Group, publisher of the title. La Revue du Vin de France was founded in 1927 and is the largest European wine magazine and the third wine magazine in the world, after Decanter and Wine Spectator. Publisher Jean-Paul Lubot says that the Chinese wine market is “exploding”. The Chinese version of the RVF will appear monthly and will be locally made by Chinese journalists. Some of the articles will be translated from the French version of the magazine. Another part of the Chinese RVF will cater specifically for the Chinese wine market and wine  consumption. Groupe Marie Claire co-produces the magazine with the major Chinese publisher SEEC Media Group, best known for its business magazine Caijing. SEEC already cooperates with other foreign publishers such as Time, Mondadori and Ziff Davis and publishes Chinese editions of well-known international titles such as Capital Week and Sports Illustrated. The Chinese edition of RVF will be launched at the end of May in the Chinese capital Beijing, where this year for the first time a major wine fair will be organized.
