2007 Château Pesquié Côtes du Ventoux Quintessence – France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Côtes du Ventoux (10/21/2010)
Cocoa, orange peel, kirsch, vanilla and ripe black fruit on the aromatic nose. Quite dense on the palate, with masses of ripe black fruits, sweet spices, cocoa, kirsch, violets and licorice, with a backbone of soft, sweet tannins and refreshing cherry-like acidity. Quite modern styled, but fully packed and still quite young. Impressive at the price level. (91 pts.)
