2007 M. Chapoutier St. Joseph Les Granits – France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, St. Joseph (4/17/2010)
Animal blood, steel, black fruit, leather and tobacco in the aromatic nose. On the palate ripe black fruit, liquorice, fruit syrup, citruslike acidity, minerals, chocolate, tobacco, … a lot of material; primary, but already quite tasty. Very balanced, also very clean. (93 pts.)
