2005 M. Chapoutier Châteauneuf-du-Pape – France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape (3/3/2010)
Sweet red fruits (cherries, strawberries), kirsch and fruit syrup on the nose. On the palate ripe, clean red fruit, fruit compote, refreshing acidity, kirsch and resolved tannins. Tasty red with a maybe bit of alcoholic heat and some over-ripeness in the fruit. No need to wait longer, drink now. (89 pts.)
