  • 2006 Clos Mogador Priorat Nelin – Spain, Catalunya, Priorat (10/9/2009)
A marked improvement since last year: complex nose of wet stones, ripe fruit, spicy honey and flowers; on the palate ripe fruit, sweet honey, balancing citruslike acidity and a distinct taste of minerals, with a just hint of spicy oak. Quite exotic, but not tiring. Different, very tasty white by René Barbier. (93 pts.)

Fresh, ripe, spicy yellow and red fruits, very nice acidity, good mouth feel with noticeable mineralization and a spicy finish. Attractive, and different. I like it. (91 pts.)
  • A blend of 50% white Grenache and the rest Marsanne, Roussanne, Macabeo (elevated together with the Grenache), Viognier and up to 10% Pinot Noir. First produced in 1999.
