- 2006 Clos Mogador Priorat Nelin – Spain, Catalunya, Priorat (10/9/2009)
A marked improvement since last year: complex nose of wet stones, ripe fruit, spicy honey and flowers; on the palate ripe fruit, sweet honey, balancing citruslike acidity and a distinct taste of minerals, with a just hint of spicy oak. Quite exotic, but not tiring. Different, very tasty white by René Barbier. (93 pts.)
- (12/24/2008)
Fresh, ripe, spicy yellow and red fruits, very nice acidity, good mouth feel with noticeable mineralization and a spicy finish. Attractive, and different. I like it. (91 pts.)
- A blend of 50% white Grenache and the rest Marsanne, Roussanne, Macabeo (elevated together with the Grenache), Viognier and up to 10% Pinot Noir. First produced in 1999.
