Traces Of Pesticides In Some Bio Wines

The Belgian consumer organization Test-Achats questions the reliability of the labelling of bio wines. The consumer organization found four bio wines with measurable traces of pesticides during a recent study of seventeen such wines. Luckily, the legal standards for pesticides were not exceeded for any wine. Wine growers in general still use a lot of pesticides. According to Test-Achats about fifteen percent of all pesticides are used by wine growers, while vineyards only account for three percent of all agricultural land.
