2005 Vietti Barbera d’Asti La Crena – Italy, Piedmont, Asti, Barbera d’Asti (11/7/2008)
Orange peel, black spicy fruit and leather on the aromatic nose. Fresh berries, sour cherries, spices, orange peel on the fresh palate. While this has quite a lot of material, it remains fresh thanks to the citruslike acidity. Still quite young. (91 pts.)
