1999 Pierre Moncuit Champagne Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru

1999 Pierre Moncuit Champagne Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru – France, Champagne, Le Mesnil Sur Oger, Champagne (10/11/2008)
Toast, orange peel and ripe yellow fruit (melon, ) on the yeasty and expressive nose. Toast, ripe yellow fruit and citruslike acidity on the fresh and fruity palate. Not as vinous, but as ripe as the Bollinger G.A. 99 I had a few days ago. Certainly also a food-friendly style of Champagne. Good qpr at the quality level. Still young. Do not drink too cold.
