Redelijk tanninerijk, wat was te verwachten, maar de wijn heeft in de mond ook enorm veel zwart fruit, waardoor hij nu al toegankelijk is, ondanks zijn jonge leeftijd. De tannines zijn zoetig en mondvullend en er zijn mooi balancerende zuren en impressies van lederachtige specerijen. Heeft een grote toekomst, maar is ook nu al lekker. Agreable nose with coffee, tobacco, some wood and alcohol and lots of black, jammy fruit. Fairly tannic on the palate, which was to be expected, but there's also lots and lots of somewhat unexpected black jammy fruit that makes this already accessible, even when so young. The tannins are chewy and sweetish and there's a nice acidic balance and impressions of leathery spices. This has a great future ahead of it but is also delicious right now. (93 pts.)
