La Chablisienne Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu 2005

2005 La Chablisienne Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu – France, Burgundy, Chablis, Chablis 1er Cru (4/14/2007)
While the nose is at the moment rather subdued, it offers a noticeable trace of stony minerals and ripe yellow fruit. On the palate this is fairly sweet, with an undertone of stones and minerals, maybe lacking a bit of acidity. However, this is just after popping the cork… I’ll let it breath a bit and see how it evolves. For the moment: good white Burgundy but maybe a bit too rich to be a good Chablis. After breathing this stays at about the same level… it is a good wine, but too sweet for a Chablis (at least to my taste). The 90 pts are for effort (and remember, who knows how this will evolve, because there is acidity present, only it is now overshadowed by the sweetness). (90 pts.)
